Sylvia’s Tree Frogs
Cruziohyla sylviae
Sylvia’s Tree Frogs are a species we would classify as an intermediate to advanced amphibian. Additional care is required to really provide the proper husbandry for these frogs. However, if provided the correct environment, these amphibians are very rewarding. Females will grow to approx. 4 inches in length while males will cap out at 2.5 - 3 inches. They love having sturdy, broad leaves to perch on during daylight hours and will roam the entire enclosure during the evening hours. Males of this species have a mild bark/croaking call that is quite mild compared to other vocal species.

$450 - adult
Red-Eyed Tree Frogs
Agalychnis callidryas
A great intermediate level species. Red-Eyed Tree Frogs are nocturnal and can be found moving about their entire enclosure throughout the night. During daylight hours, these frogs can be found on the underside of vivarium leaves or on the upper-level glass surfaces. Males are the most vocal at night and will typically try to entice females during the breeding season. Albino Red-Eyed Tree Frogs should not have UVB provided and require D3 from additional supplementation.

$120 - Albino Subadult
$450 - Pink/bubblegum Subadult
Mexican Waxy Leaf Frogs
Agalychnis dacnicolor
A great beginner to intermediate level species. Mexican Waxy Leaf Frogs are nocturnal but can be occasionally observed moving about the enclosure to thermoregulate. They enjoy a ~90°F basking spot and slightly drier daytime humidity which is a stark contrast to many other tree frogs. They enjoy perching on sturdy ledges, plants and bamboo branches. Tong feeding is possible with juveniles and adults. Males are vocal during the breeding season and can be quite loud.
$90 - Juvenile
$150 - Adult Male
Vietnamese Mossy Frogs
Theloderma corticale
A great beginner to intermediate level species. Vietnamese Mossy Frogs are unique, when compared to other frogs found in the hobby, as they enjoy having a large water substrate area. This semi-aquatic species can be found in sturdy cork tubes or hanging out partially submerged at the waters edge. This species is nocturnal but can occasionally be found moving through the water during daytime hours. When Mossy Frogs are startled they will mimic their namesake and pretend to be a piece moss that couldn’t be appetizing to a predator. Providing clean water to Mossy Frogs is critical and directly correlates to how well they thrive in captivity.

Trachycephalus resinifictrix
Milk frogs are another great beginner level species. They are nocturnal but can be found moving about their enclosure during the day from their water bowl to whatever perch they find acceptable. Milk frogs are quite engaging and can be trained to eat from tongs if given enough time. They can even tolerate a moderate amount of handling (with the appropriate precautions). Males can be quite vocal at night, enticing females to the water during breeding season.

Lemur Leaf Frogs
Agalychnis lemur
A great intermediate level species. Lemur Leaf Frogs are nocturnal and require more tightly controlled temperature/humidity vivarium parameters. We’ve found that they thrive very well at 72-75°F and 80% humidity. They can be found moving about through their enclosure at night and sleeping on the underside of the vivarium plant leaves during the day. Both genders of this species are quite mellow. While males will call occasionally if their enclosure is sprayed heavily prior to low pressure weather systems.
