SMart Exotics was started with the desire to provide current husbandry guidance for new and veteran reptile hobbyists while offering healthy pet companions.

Being introduced to the reptile hobby several years ago we fell victim to poor information and the lack of educational resources for our growing interest. We saw this as an all too common problem that did not seem to have an immediate solution.

When we started SMart Exotics we knew our business model had to include husbandry resources regardless if you purchased a new companion from us or not. This was, in our minds, the only way to combat misinformation and poor living conditions for many species found in the hobby. This also meant that we had an obligation to only provide captive bred species. We strive to provide current husbandry needs for the animals we work with and are continuously researching ways to improve our knowledge.

Applying the research/experiences we’ve had in our professional lives and in the hobby, we’ve created easy to read, basic care sheets. We also have been able to provide many new homes with captive bred babies for others to enjoy. We’re excited to be apart of this hobby and look forward to what we can contribute now and in the future.
